Vicar – Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas George
Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas George, is an ordained priest of the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church. Achen is the youngest among the four children of Mr. K. M. George and Mrs. Saramma George of Kavil House, Chungathara, Nilambur, Malappuram District, Kerala.
Achen and his wife, Kochamma Ancy Thomas, together with their two children, daughter Kripa and son Gregory, currently reside in Brampton, Ontario.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas George was called to serve at the Holy Altar at the age of thirteen by the late lamented H.H. Baselios Marthoma Didymos I, while His Holiness was serving as the Metropolitan of the Malabar Diocese. His Holiness ordained Achen as Sub-Deacon on June 5, 1990, Deacon on March 6, 1993, and Priest on March 25, 1993. He was later appointed as the Vicar of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Toronto, in June 2006.
Since his ordination in 1993, Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas George has faithfully served as Vicar in various parishes, including St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Kozhikode, under the Malabar Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Church. Since December 1, 2016, Achen has been serving as the Vicar of St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Toronto.
Beginning April 23, 2026, Achen also serves as the Vicar of St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Ottawa.
Prior to Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas George, our Vicar was Rev. Fr. Sam Thankachan.
